Senior officers inspect mass yoga demonstration venues | Mysore News

Mysuru: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Jawaid Akhtar inspected the venue for the mass yoga demonstration at Mysore Palace. Senior officers from the Special Protection Group, local police and district authorities were also present and discussed preparedness and security arrangements. Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gautham explained the arrangements made, including the dais.
The event will last 45 minutes starting at 7:00 a.m. Participants must gather at the site before 5:30 a.m. as part of security measures. Authorities also visited places like Chamundi hillsprivate hotel, airport and Maharaja college grounds.
City police said traffic will be diverted through the heart of Mysuru during the Prime Minister’s visit on June 20-21. Even the parking of vehicles in some streets is restricted.
Palace closed until Tuesday
As part of the main event of IDY 2022 in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform yoga, the famous Mysuru Palace will be closed to tourists from Sunday to Tuesday noon. The sound and light program is canceled until Wednesday. The decision was taken taking into account the security arrangements and the various works in the palace.
