A wellness spa and beauty salon in CHESTER city center has received a prestigious award for its strong growth despite the challenges of the Covid pandemic.
The Scented Garden Retreat, located at the Northgate Street Row, Chester, is the proud recipient of the accolade from skincare giant, Dermalogica.
The wellness spa and beauty salon received the Derm Circle’s “Gold Award” for its amazing growth during the pandemic and after.
The independent shelter has hand-delivered bespoke treatments throughout various lockdowns to repeat customers so they can experience all the psychological and physical benefits of treatment at home and have seen growth in sales thanks to that.
Laura Heywood, founder of The Scented Garden Retreat in Chester.
Laura Heywood, founder and owner of the 27-year-old Chester business, said, “We are delighted to receive this award from Dermalogica, a brand we enjoy working with.
“We doubled our growth on some lines after the pandemic, and it’s safe to say that well-being is even more important to people now that we realize how easily our mental and physical health can be affected by events. out of our control.
“We had to switch, like many companies, to online delivery and sales, which was tricky for a service-oriented company. But we are lucky because we know so many of our customers personally. We know their skincare routines and we could make sure they could continue home treatments to some degree.”
Dermalogica also named The Scented Beauty Retreat as the top Business Excellence Gold Account in Cheshire and Chester.
This led beauty industry guru Mark Hermann to visit the clinic to see how the success of Chester’s businesses could be replicated across the industry.
