A fight at the South OC beauty salon sparks a Dana Point manhunt on Monday

DANA POINT, Calif. — Two men were injured in a fight at a beauty salon in San Clemente, with one man arrested after a manhunt ended in Dana Point on Monday afternoon, a reported the Orange County Register.

The scuffle began after a man attempted to cash a check at a beauty salon near W. Canada and Avenida Del Poniente in San Clemente. According to the report, the salon owner refused to accept the check.

Shortly after, OC sheriff’s deputies received several calls around 2 p.m. reporting the fight. The callers also reported to dispatch that the suspect had a pocket knife and drove off the scene toward Max Beg Plaza Park in San Clemente, OCSD Sgt. Scott Steinle told the OC Register.

The suspect also allegedly left his car at some point before jumping a fence at an apartment complex in Dana Point, authorities said.

Later that afternoon, he was arrested in the 34,000 block neighborhood of Via Elevado. He had suffered a cut on his hand, and the victim of the altercation had two cuts to his chest and hand, the OC Register reported.
