A car crashed outside a beauty salon in Tiverton earlier today. The white Nissan Micra appeared to cross a grass edge and tumble onto the sidewalk where it nosedived into the storefront.
The incident took place at 11am this morning (March 19) at a beauty salon named Time Out Leisure in Tiverton. The car has since been removed using a crane.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. An eyewitness at the scene told DevonLive: “Big shout out to the ACE Crane Transport Recovery for their speedy recovery and the entire Canal Hill community coming together! I’m glad no one was seriously injured. , just a little shaken.”

Time Out Leisure remained open and advised customers to enter through the rear entrance as the car blocked the front passage. They posted on their Facebook: “WE ARE STILL OPEN…, the main entrance is currently unusable – please use the back door!! (One with the new door panel) Due to an accident. Thank you all for asking about the lovely lady – She’s fine just shook.”
The main entrance to the show was reopened shortly thereafter. Another message on the lounge page read: “Our main entrance is OPEN again! Please watch out for rubble/bricks if there is any in the way!
Some damage was done to the brick wall.
